The goal of the Atlantic City Public Safety "Fall" Civilian Academy is to foster and promote an understanding by the citizens in Atlantic City of the services and challenges facing public safety personnel. It will promote insight into the structure and limitations within each entity of the public safety community.
Additionally, the Academy will improve communication and partnerships between the citizens, the AC Police Department, AC Fire Department, and the office of Emergency Management Services through education and discussion with the purpose of establishing a safer community.
Courses Scheduled: ACPD Community Relations, Police Chaplains, Bomb Squad, Gang Awareness, Forensics, Tour of 911 Communications (City Hall), and Fire Department (Station 1), Gang & Vice, K-9 Familiarization, Emergency Management, and more.
